Spas in Valencia are like little hidden treasures, if you don’t know where they are, they’re not easy to find. We love to pamper ourselves and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but since there isn’t a huge spa culture here, we didn’t really know where to go. Now, we wouldn’t be us if we didn’t do some research, right? As it turns out, Valencia does have some amazing spas! So, friends, get ready for that baby soft skin – it’s time to relax the day away in one of these 6 spas in Valencia.
Valencia is home to lots of talented, highly-creative people. Thanks to that, it has a thriving art scene. It’s safe to say that there’s always something to do!
In fact, in 2022, Valencia was designated the World Design Capital. How cool is that? The city stood out for its creativity in the areas of design, architecture, interior design, and illustration.
Even if you don’t know a single thing about art, there are lots of museums you just can’t miss out on. Allow yourself to get lost for a little while, challenge your mind, be amazed and check out this list of 5 must-visit museums in Valencia.
Are you and your furry friend about to get some vitamin sea? Then we want to remind you of a couple of things before you head to the beach. You may have noticed that Valencia is a very dog-friendly city, but unfortunately, our little friends aren’t allowed to dip their paws in the sand wherever they want. That’s why we’ve made a list of 6 dog-friendly beaches in Valencia. If you need an excuse to explore some new, interesting playas, here it is ;-)
Obvious fact: we’re huge fans of Valencia’s views. Whether we’re overlooking the historic center, the beautiful sea, or the incredible orange/purple sunsets, we love them all. One way to really enjoy those views is by going up to a roof. That’s a no-brainer, right? But what if you can sip on a drink while feasting your eyes and catching up with friends? Sounds even better to me! Today we’ll share our 5 favorite rooftop bars in Valencia, so you can enjoy drinks & gorgeous views at the same time.
It’s no secret that May and I both adore Italian food. Our mouths absolutely start to water when we hear the words: fresh, homemade, Italian pasta. However, we don’t always have time to spend hours in a good restaurant, so we were pleased to find Hasta La Pasta – a cute little takeaway close to Plaza de la Virgen. Yes, surprisingly enough, it’s possible to grab a quick, delicious, wholesome meal in Valencia!
Valencia’s cuisine is amazing and we’re totally here for it, no doubt about that. However, there’s one thing that we were really missing here: a good salad bar. You know, one of those bars where you can create your own salad and/or enjoy some fresh, homemade, green goodness. If your body can use a delicious vitamin boost, stick around, because we’ve found 4 healthy salad bars in Valencia…
The owners of Malafama Canyamelar must be into reverse psychology. Why? Mala fama is Spanish for bad reputation, but this restaurant (which is one of my top favorites) has anything but that. It’s famous for its super tasty, homemade pinchos and tapas. Now, let’s be real: we all know eating typical Spanish snacks is an essential part of Valencian life. Vamos, friends!
Hi! I’m Stephanie, a creative enthusiast in life, freelance copywriter, and Friends of Valencia's content editor. My intuition brought me here (thanks, gal, appreciate it). Moving to Valencia has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made – this city never ceases to amaze me. I love sharing my enthusiasm, creating genuine connections, telling stories, and being of service. That’s why you’ll find me writing blog posts full of tips, tricks, recommendations, and bad puns. When I just moved here, I set up my own Early Childhood Music & Movement classes: Sing & Swing with Stephanie. Yes, I have many interests and passions – every day is different and I love it. What do I adore about Valencia? The people, street art, fascinating architecture, the climate, gorgeous parks, tasty food, the typical Spanish lifestyle, colorful houses, the little surprises around each corner, the beach, street parties, and vibrant city life. Enjoy! Un abrazo, Stephanie
